Alibates Flint Quarry 12,000 Years and Counting

The tour guide thoroughly enjoyed our little nerds,
and they loved the quarry.
The Yucca were spectacular, and their petals are edible.


The wildflowers have not been this spectacular in 22 years,
according to the guide.
This quarry is the home to a unique type of flint,
bacon-slab flint.
