Alibates Flint Quarry 12,000 Years and Counting

The tour guide thoroughly enjoyed our little nerds,

and they loved the quarry.

The Yucca were spectacular, and their petals are edible.

The wildflowers have not been this spectacular in 22 years,
according to the guide.

This quarry is the home to a unique type of flint,
bacon-slab flint.

Zeke spotted this endangered Horned Lizard during out tour.

The tender-headed and tender-hearted Lark has been working on her Lock of Love for about a year now. She has aboslutely no reservations about getting it cut....................................................and it feels SO good!
